A brand new league opens on a short guided tour. It takes about four minutes and it runs on made-up players, which are thrown away at the end.
You can skip it. Most people should not, because of what it shows.
Why a tour and not a video
A box league is bought for one thing: promotion and relegation moving real names between boxes at the end of a season.
A trial is a fortnight, and a season is not. So the tour does a whole season in four minutes and lets you watch the rollover happen.
What you actually do
One press deals two boxes. Then you type two scores yourself, which is the step that matters: it is the difference between something you have used and something you have watched.
Another press fills the rest in, including a walkover and a match nobody played. You look at the second box, because one box on its own does not show you what a box league is.
Then the season rolls over and next season's boxes appear with the promotions already in them.
The last few steps are the things you will actually do on the evening you start for real. Take a season live, open the league settings, and get a box its player link. All of them through the app's own buttons.
The club ladder is at the end, because it is the one part of the product nobody goes looking for.
And then it is deleted
Everything the tour made is thrown away and you start clean. There is no example season to tidy up afterwards.
What happens next
You land on Home with a short list of what is left to set up. It shows what is left, never what is done, so it shrinks as you go and then disappears.
