The bell at the top of the page is your own feed: a score waiting on you, a result confirmed, a draw going up, who you play next. The red number on it is how many are waiting, and it is also a row inside your own menu beside it. Tap one and it opens the thing it is about. Tap the × beside it and it is gone; Clear all empties the lot. It is your screen, so you can empty it.
Push notifications are opt-in and per phone. The app offers them after you have entered or confirmed a score, never when you arrive. A permission you refuse on landing is refused for ever, and the browser never lets the site ask again. On an iPhone you have to add Clayside to your home screen first, because Safari will not ask otherwise.
You choose what you get, on that phone: scores waiting on you (always on), arranging matches, your own results, deadlines, draws and fixtures, and club updates. Turn a category off and the server stops sending it, so nothing arrives and shows nothing.
Two things arrive on a clock
A deadline nudge, 14, 7, 3 and 1 days before a season ends, to anybody with a match still unplayed. It names how many they owe and opens the box. The morning before an agreed match, to both sides, at 8am. Nothing else in Clayside sends on a timer, and nothing at all sends at night.
