No member of your club is named on any page of your website. Not a table, not a draw, not a booking, not a result. A stranger reading it sees what is on, never who is playing.
There is one exception, and your club has to put it there on purpose: a card saying who to ask.
The cards
Open Who to ask. Above the cards are two boxes for the club’s own email and phone. Fill those in first. A club address is better than somebody’s own: it outlives whoever is doing the job this year, and it is nobody’s to take back.
Then add a card for each person. A card holds a name, what they do in your own words, and a club address and phone for that job. You can add up to 8 of them, which is a committee rather than a staff list.
Each card can also name one page that says “ask them”, so your membership secretary appears on the Membership page and your head coach on Coaching.
Their own email or phone
If the person on a card is a member of your club, you can ask them whether their own email or phone can go on it. Press Ask about their email and they get the question in their app. Nothing of theirs goes on the page until they answer yes.
If they say no, the card shows the club’s address instead and nothing is lost. If they say yes and change their mind later, they take it back on their own screen, and it comes off the next time anybody opens the page. You do not have to publish again.
A junior is never asked. Somebody who has not signed in yet cannot be asked either, because there is nowhere for them to answer.
If you are the one being asked
Your club is asking whether the email or phone we already hold can go on a page anybody can read. Say no and nothing happens: the card shows a club address. Say yes now and change your mind next year, and it comes off the same day.
Your welfare officer
The safeguarding block asks for a welfare officer and a policy. The officer is a card like any other, and a club address for them is the right answer here as well. See photos and documents for the policy.
Photographs
Every photo is uploaded with a tick saying the people in it are happy for the club to publish it. A photo without it is never shown. See what your club owes its members.
