Who coaches here
The Coaching screen lists everybody who coaches at your club, with a line about them and what they charge. No texting round to find out who is free on a Tuesday and what an hour costs.
Prices are the coach’s own. Some put up an hour, some a block of six, some a group. If somebody has no prices up yet, ask anyway and they will tell you.
Asking for an hour
Say what you are after, then suggest up to six times you could play. The coach picks one and it is agreed. It works exactly like arranging a match, and for the same reason: nobody has to be free at the same moment to sort it out.
You can ask one coach or all of them. Ask any coach goes to everybody who teaches here, and the first to answer takes it. Where there is only one coach, you just ask them.
There is a line for anything they should know. What you want to work on, mostly. It is optional.
Nobody’s phone number changes hands. The coach never learns your number and you never learn theirs.
Groups
A coach can put a group on, and you take a place in it. The day, the time and how many places are left are all on the screen. Join takes one, Leave gives it back.
When the last place goes the group says Full. Somebody leaving frees a place again straight away.
A block of lessons
Some coaches price a block: six lessons for a set price, say. Pick it when you ask, and arrange the hours between you as you go.
Paying
We never touch this money. Some clubs have you pay the coach on court, some put it on your club tab. Your club will have told you which.
What the app does is keep the record straight, so nobody is adding hours up off a phone at the end of the month.
If it did not happen
A lesson counts as taught unless somebody says otherwise. Either of you can say it did not happen, up to a week afterwards, and that is the whole register.
Juniors
A child’s lesson is asked for and answered by whoever holds the household sign-in. A guardian asks, a guardian is told, and a coach never sees a child’s contact details.
