The job
Captain is a job you hand out, and it names the sides you run. It is under Club then Roles. The 2nds captain runs the 2nds. Nothing else changes hands: not the seasons, not the register, not the money, not another captain’s side.
You can see the club list, because asking people to play means finding them. You cannot see anybody’s phone number or email address. Nothing in this job needs one.
At a club with a lot of sides, the competitions manager runs all of them from one job, without being named on each. That is the job to hand out when one person does the lot.
A fixture, press by press
Ask. One press asks whoever played last time, and you can tick anybody else in the club. There is no squad list to keep up to date.
Pick. Fill with the strongest yeses puts a side on the sheet, and you move a name if you want to. Anybody in the club can be picked, asked or not.
Courts. Tick the courts for a home fixture and they are held on the club diary, named for the match. Nobody already booked is ever cancelled.
Result. Each match goes in on the same score screen the rest of the app uses, and the fixture adds itself up as you go.
All four are on the fixture itself. The teams screen has the whole of it, including pasting the fixture list in.
What you get told
If somebody stands down, you are told and it lands on your home screen. The message says who, and how many short that leaves you.
Only the captain of that side is told. Another side’s Saturday is not your job, and the competitions manager hears about all of them.
What only you see
The answers are yours. Who said no, who said maybe and who has not replied is your working list, and no member sees it.
Levels order the names when you are picking, and that is the only place a level is used here. It is never on the team sheet and never in a message.
