Go to clayside.app/setup, type your club’s name and your email address, and we email you a six-digit code. Type it back into the tab you left open and your league is running a few seconds later at its own web address: yourclub.clayside.app. You are signed in as the owner on that phone or laptop straight away. That address is yours from then on, so it is the one to post in the group.
You do not have to run a box league. The first screen asks what your club runs, and the app keeps to your answer. No season planner, no box checklist, and the Play tab opens on your ladder or your tournaments. Change it any time in League settings, under Rules.
The code comes first, and nothing exists until you type it
We check the address before we build anything. A league is a database of its own, so we only make one for somebody we can actually reach. So an unused code leaves nothing behind at all: no league, no club, no address taken. What you typed is deleted within the hour.
Once it is in, the address is proved. You can sign in from any other phone or laptop with it, and there is nothing left to confirm afterwards.
If it still never turns up, email hello@clayside.app and a person will set the league up for you.
The trial, and what happens at the end of it
A new league gets everything the product does: every box, every player, promotion and relegation, the ladders, the tournaments, the membership register, all of it. The trial runs for 14 days from the day you create the league. Nothing moves that date, and reminders go out three days before it, the day before, and on the day.
On that day the league carries on as One Box, free, for as long as you want it. Nothing is deleted, ever. Every season, player and score stays exactly where it is, and boxes past the first stop taking new scores rather than going away. There is nothing to do to keep it and no deadline to miss.
Picking a paid plan, during the trial or after it, stops the clock mattering at all. See Plans and limits.
