The results grid, the standings and still to play
A box of four, a few weeks into its season, as the app draws it.
- Each row reads from that player’s side. Their wins are green, a defeat after winning a set is amber, and one without is red. Every match shows twice, once in each row, but it is one fixture.
- Striped is awaiting confirmation.
- The blocked-out diagonal is where a player would meet themselves.
- Bonus counts matches lost after winning a set.
- Not counted yet. Sam’s win over Jo is not in his points until Jo confirms it.
- Sorted by who owes the most. Tap a player to see who they still have to play.
- Tap an opponent and the score form opens for that match: the fastest way to put in a result somebody posted in the group.
On a phone the grid scrolls sideways with the names pinned to the left, and the table hides its Games and Sets columns: tap a name for them. Under the table it says how ties are settled, which is usually head to head, then set difference, then game difference.
Results
Every score, newest first, confirmed or not. One awaiting confirmation carries Confirm and Reject for whoever may act on it: the opponent or a box admin.
Share
Each card has a Share button. Copy as image makes the card a picture to paste into a group chat. On a phone, Send hands it to the share sheet: WhatsApp, Messages or mail.
Saving the results as a file
Owners only, in the same Share button: an Excel workbook with a tab for each box, one for the club ladder, and an All results tab. Each row is one match, with the score game by game, and a walkover, a retirement or a match that ran out of time is marked. Unconfirmed scores are left out, and an empty box still gets its tab.
Reporting to a national rating like SquashLevels or DUPR? Open the tab and use Save as to write a CSV. It carries player names, not accounts on those sites, so whoever uploads still matches people up.
