Lessons at your club

Coaching lessons your members book themselves

Clayside is coaching and lesson booking software for racket sports clubs. A member picks a coach, says when they can play, and the coach says yes. The price is on the screen before anyone agrees. No phone numbers, no WhatsApp thread.

On every club plan, from £265 a year. Free for fourteen days, no card.

The problem

What goes wrong with club coaching now

01

The coach's phone never stops

Every lesson is a thread. "Can you do Thursday?" "What about six?" The coach's evenings go on replies, and a member without the number never gets a lesson.

02

The group with a place nobody knew about

Tuesday's improvers has room for one more. The coach knows, the member who wanted it does not, and the place goes empty all term.

03

"What does he owe the club?"

The coach remembers one number and the treasurer has another. Nobody wrote down who had which lessons, so the end of the month is an argument.

How it works

How a coaching lesson gets booked

The same way your members already arrange a match. Nobody learns anything new.

  1. The member picks a coach and suggests times. Up to six of them, and a line about what they want to work on, if they like.
  2. The coach says yes to one. Or the member asks any coach, and whoever answers first takes it.
  3. Both see the price before they agree. When, who, how much and how to pay, on one screen with one button: "Agree to this".
  4. It counts as taught unless somebody calls it off. Nobody takes a register after every hour, and nothing is charged for a lesson that did not happen.

The money

Coaching money stays between your coach and your club

We write down who had what and what it cost. The member pays the way they always have: cash at the court, a bank transfer, the coach's own card reader, or on their club tab. No card fees, no cut, nothing in between.

Prices in the coach's own words

One hour, a block of six, a group of four at a price a head. Members see them before they ask.

Groups fill themselves

The coach puts "Tuesday 6pm, improvers, up to four" on. Members take places. Two people cannot take the last one.

The club's share, if there is one

Nought unless you set it. The coach and the treasurer square up each month, and both see the same figure.

Juniors go through a parent

A coach never sees a pupil's phone number or email. A junior's lesson goes to whoever holds the family's sign-in.

Questions

What clubs ask about coaching

Who can be a coach?

Anyone on your register, named from the Coaching screen. There is nothing to switch on: lessons work the moment the first coach is named.

A coach who is not a member of your club can be added too. They do not count towards your plan's member limit, and they cannot be entered into your competitions.

Does the coach have to use it?

They say yes or no on their phone, and they see what they are owed. That is all.

Does it take the payment?

No. Your coach is paid the way they are paid now: cash at the court, a bank transfer, their own card reader, or on the member's club tab. We keep the record, and nothing is taken when a lesson is agreed.

Can a member ask for a lesson for their child?

Yes, from the family's own sign-in. A junior's lesson goes to whoever holds it, and the coach never sees a phone number or an email address for anybody.

Which plans have coaching, and what does it cost?

Every club plan, from Club 125 at £265 a year. It is included: no charge per coach or per lesson.

Every new league gets fourteen days with everything switched on, and no card. See what each plan holds.
