Free padel americano and mexicano generator
Type in who has turned up, say how many padel courts you have, and get the whole evening: who partners whom on which court, who sits out, and a table that keeps itself as the scores go in. A tennis or pickleball americano works the same way.
How the schedule is made
An americano schedule shares the partners and the sitting out fairly
- Everybody partners everybody before anybody partners the same person twice.
- The sitting out goes round the room. Nobody sits twice before everybody has sat once, where the numbers allow.
- A mexicano is dealt off the table. After the first round, first and third play second and fourth on court one, fifth and seventh play sixth and eighth on court two, and so on.
- Each player keeps their side's points. Whoever has the most at the end wins the night.
This is the same deal a social night in Clayside uses. For running the evening itself, read how to run an americano at your padel club and how to run a mexicano night. For singles, or pairs who stay together all evening, use the tennis round robin generator. A padel club running one every week can see padel americano and mexicano nights in Clayside.
Questions
What organisers ask about the americano generator
How many players do I need?
Four for each court you use. Eight on two courts is the classic evening. Any number from four up works, and when the numbers do not divide, the sitting out is shared round the room.
What is the difference between an americano and a mexicano?
In an americano every round is dealt in advance, so everybody partners everybody. In a mexicano only the first round is: after that each round is dealt off the table, first with third against second with fourth, so the games get closer as the night goes on.
How many points should a padel americano game be?
Choose before the first round. Fewer points means more rounds in the time you have booked: 16 for a quick evening, 24 for most, 32 when the courts are yours for longer. Every point either pair wins goes on the table.
Does it work for tennis and pickleball?
Yes. Any doubles game played to a number of points or for a set time works the same way. Only the points per game change.
Is anything saved or sent anywhere?
Nothing is sent. The names and scores stay in this browser, so the evening survives a refresh, and Start again clears them.
