Can I have my own account as a junior?

From 13, unless your club has turned it off. Your parent can still switch to you.

Request support

From the age of 13 you can sign in with your own email address, unless your club has turned junior sign-in off. Under 13, your parent signs in and looks after things for you.

Getting in

  1. Your club or your parent adds your email address to your record. Or you give it when you join.
  2. Tap sign in and type that address. A six-digit code arrives.
  3. Type the code in. You are in on that phone.

It has to be your own address. Your parent’s is refused, because then they would be signing in as you.

Who can see what

Your parent

They can sign in as themselves and switch to you, so they see what you see. Your You screen, under Contact details, names who can do this.

Your club

The people who run it see your record: your name, your date of birth and how to reach your parent. Other members see your name, your results and your level, never your email address.

Your post

Messages about your own matches come to you. Receipts and renewals still go to your parent, because they pay.

What stays for adults

Find a game is for adult members, so you are never asked to one and cannot post one. Paying for a membership and running a box wait until you are 18.

Stopping it

  • Take your address off yourself on the You screen, under Signing in. Your club link still works.
  • Keep your results off Clubhouse with the switch on the You screen.
  • Anything else, ask your parent or the club.
