Clayside  ·  The guide  ·  Email that never arrived

Why did an email not arrive?

Spam, an address that bounced, somebody who asked us to stop, and a club that cannot send.

Request support

Somebody says they never got it. Work down this list, in this order.

Spam, first, every time

Ask them to look in spam or junk. Most missing emails are there.

Tell them to mark it as not spam once they find it. The next one then lands properly.

Check the address you hold

Open their name on your members and read the address back. A typo is the second most common answer, and an old work address is the third.

It bounced

If their address rejected the mail, we record that and stop sending to it. Nothing more will go to that address until it is corrected.

Fix the address and the next send goes.

They asked us to stop

Every welcome email has a line in it that says stop sending. If somebody pressed that, we hold to it, and nothing else goes to them.

You cannot undo that for them. They have to say so themselves.

The club cannot send at all

Sometimes a club's sending is paused at our end. You will see it said plainly when you try, rather than a send that quietly does nothing.

Get in touch when you see that, and tell us the club. It is ours to fix.

A send that is already running

Invitations go out in the background. Ask for another straight away and it tells you one is already going.

Give it a minute. The register shows who has had one, so you can watch it happen rather than guess.

What the league sends lists every email the product sends, and who gets each one.
