Padel americano and mexicano
Clayside is a padel americano and mexicano app for clubs and venues. Put the names in, say how many courts you have, and it deals each round, takes the points and keeps the table.

How it works
Type the players, or let members put their own names down from the invitation. Pick americano or mexicano, the courts you have, and how many rounds.
A court plays until the two sides have 24 between them, so every round takes about the same time. Change the total, or play to the clock instead.
Each player scores what their side won. The table moves as each court reports, and the night finishes with a winner, or with a final.
Americano or mexicano
Nobody partners anybody twice while there is somebody they have not played with. It is the friendlier night, and the one for mixed levels.
For a social nightEveryone plays with everyone.
From round two, each court takes four players off the table, first and third against second and fourth. The leader always has the weaker partner, so the games stay close.
For a competitive nightBy round four nobody is losing heavily.
After two rounds, deal a final off the table on one court or on all of them. Its points decide the winner and leave the table as it stood.
For the organiserThe night ends on a court, not on a spreadsheet.
The table
| # | Player | Rounds | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | L. Cobb | 3 | 40 |
| 2 | P. Ruiz | 3 | 40 |
| 3 | T. Yalden | 3 | 34 |
Players and courts
Four to a court. The rest sit out a round in turn, and nobody sits a second time while someone has not sat once. Anything from 4 to 64 players works.
| Players | 2 courts | 3 courts | 4 courts |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | all 8 on | all 8 on | all 8 on |
| 10 | 8 on, 2 sit | 8 on, 2 sit | 8 on, 2 sit |
| 12 | 8 on, 4 sit | all 12 on | all 12 on |
| 13 | 8 on, 5 sit | 12 on, 1 sits | 12 on, 1 sits |
| 14 | 8 on, 6 sit | 12 on, 2 sit | 12 on, 2 sit |
| 16 | 8 on, 8 sit | 12 on, 4 sit | all 16 on |
Somebody late? Add them between rounds. A mexicano puts them on a court straight away; an americano deals them in from the next round.

Paying for the night
Nothing is taken for a place on the night today. Collect it the way you do now; the night keeps the players and the points.
The big screen
The board is on every player’s phone and the organiser’s. A view made for a television is not built yet.

Questions
Not hard. A night takes a few minutes to set up, and you can run your next one here alongside whatever you use for bookings. We help you through the first, and a person answers when you ask.

Your choice for each night: the desk alone, or the players on each court from their phones. A score counts the moment it is in, and the desk can correct any of them.
Yes. Each player’s phone shows their court, their partner and who they face, and what is next for them.
Nights are on every paid plan, as many as you like. The free plan runs one box league and no nights. The plans.
Every round feeds each player’s level at your club, which Find a game uses to suggest a close match later in the week. Levels are never shown on a public page.
