Suggested moves when you build next season

Building next season now lists suggested moves above the boxes. A player who won every match comfortably can go up two boxes, and a player who played nothing can sit out.

By Daniel Byrne, 16 October 2026

What changes

When a season finishes and you press Next season, the screen now lists suggested moves above the boxes.

Up two, or down two. A player who won every match comfortably, and whose level sits with the box two above, is suggested to go up two boxes. The same works at the bottom for a player who lost every match.

Sitting out. A player who played nothing can be suggested to sit out the next season. That happens only if they did not put their name down when you asked the club who wants to play. If you never asked the club, it suggests nothing.

Nothing moves until you tap one. Tap Move to Box 2 or Leave it, and Undo puts the player back. Suggestions are for singles, because a pair has no level of its own.

Where to find it

On the Next season screen, once a season has finished. To switch suggestions off, untick Suggest moves when you build next season in League settings.

In the guide

How does one season roll into the next?

The top few go up, the bottom few go down, and you get a draft to check before any of it is live.
