Find a game: post when you are free

Instead of a message in the group chat asking who is free on Thursday, a member posts the time and Clayside asks the right people. The first one to say yes has the game.

What changes

A member who wants a game posts when they are free: a time, or a stretch like 4pm to 8pm. Clayside offers it to other members, in the app and on their phone, and the first to say yes takes it. Whoever takes it picks the start time.

A friendly or a ladder match. A friendly records nothing: no score, no rating. A ladder match is offered to everybody the ladder lets you play, and the score goes on the ladder as usual.

A phone list of two games going: a member free at either of two times, and a doubles needing one more player, each with a Not for me button and one to join.
A member says when they are free, or that their four is one short, and players at the club are asked in the app. The first to say yes takes it.

Who is asked. Members around your level first, then a little further out, or anyone at the club, or people you pick yourself. Nobody is shown a level, and nobody sees who else was asked.

A phone form with singles and friendly chosen, a list of the member's court bookings, a calendar of days with one picked, a from and to time, and three choices of who to ask.
Singles or doubles, friendly or for the ladder. A court already booked fills in the time, or the member gives a day and a time or a range. Then who to ask: around their level, anyone at the club, or people they pick.

A four that is one short. Say how many places you need and who is already playing. When the last place goes, everybody else’s offer disappears.

Can’t make it? A member who drops out can offer their place around the others’ level, and the rest of the four hear when it is filled.

Who is never asked. Juniors, members who have left, anybody with no sign-in, and anybody who has switched on Don’t ask me for games. Nobody is asked more than a few times a day, and it never comes by email.

Where to find it

Play, then Games. Each member’s Don’t ask me for games switch is on Games and on You.

How do I find somebody to play?

Post when you are free, or a four that is one short, and the first member to say yes takes it. Friendly or ladder, in the app only.
