Arranged matches now chase their own score

The two jobs an organiser used to do by hand after a match was arranged, spotting a clash and chasing the score, now happen on their own.

By Daniel Byrne, 8 October 2026

What changes

Nobody is down for two matches at once. A time either player has already agreed for another match cannot be taken, and the app says who is playing then.

Can make none of the times? A player whose box was offered times that do not suit can send their own as an answer. The rest of the box can still take one of the first times.

A calendar of dates with several days picked, and the start times offered under each picked day with one or more chosen.
A player taps the days that suit and a time on each. The opponent picks one, and neither of them hands over a phone number.

Times nobody answers. They can be taken back from the screen they were sent from. If they all go by unanswered, the sender is told the next morning.

The morning after. When an agreed match has no score by the next morning, both players are asked for it. On a box, the match reads “Played on Tue?” with the score as its button, and “It did not happen” beside it for the evening that fell through.

Every agreed match in one place. Coming up holds every match a member has agreed, ladder and tournament matches as well as box matches.

A notice opens the match it is about. An old notice says what happened, for example that somebody else took the time, rather than opening a screen that has moved on.

Where to find it

Nothing to switch on. It works wherever members arrange matches: from a box, the ladder or a tournament draw.

How do I arrange a match?

Offer up to six times you could play and your opponent taps one. Nobody's phone number goes anywhere.
